These strange objects... so strange, and even more so is this creature that came out of the ball! It seems rather friendly, and is... ah... really rather large for a caterpillar. I can't say I'm not interested!! My, a caterpillar this large, I wonder if it will go through a metamorphosis of a giant butterfly, or something else! I wanted to put him in a jar for further examination, but seeing as how he is the size of Rolf's pig, Wilfred, I think I may refrain from it.

When he first came out of the ball, a very strange smell came off of him... I think it came from his antennae. I wonder what else I can learn about him!

I think I should name him Timothy for now... at least until I can come up with a decent classification for him.

I'm glad to see that Halloween is still celebrated here... I can say that the costume I have been left with is less than creative. I dont believe I've worn one of these since I was in the second grade! I'm afraid trick-or-treating just wont be the same without Ed or Eddy... but I suppose now is as good a time as ever to start up new traditions with those near and dear! For example, pumpkin carving! I've tried it once with Ed and Eddy, and of course, our endeavors never end successfully.... usually its been thrown thanks to Eddy, or some kind of chain of events will cause Ed to either 1)swallow it. And yes. I mean whole. or 2) have it so it causes catastrophic damage in proportions you never thought imaginable by a single pumpkin. That year... was actually quite impressive!

Ah... that said... I do feel the need to put together a haunted house of sorts. I suppose its being so used to Eddy, and the holiday spirit itself that brings the urge to rise.

I wouldnt want to make money over the ordeal... candy would actually do just fine.

Oh my, its rather generous of the Island to allow us all one wish... its charming, and yet... gracious, the responsibility! If you dont phrase your wish correcting, awful repercussions may occur. God forbid some kind of awful chain reaction that will lead to complete and utter disorder!! [his voice quickens before he clears his throat, laughing a little nervously]

In all seriousness, I can just imagine the kind of wishes that my friends back at home would hope for. Ed, possibly something having to do with a chicken... Eddy... well... that one is just obvious. As for me, I am a high believer of the conquest for knowledge being the only desire in my mind... though... since I've been here, I've missed one thing in particular horribly.

A delicious, teeth rotting, sugary round candied jawbreaker. Not just one, but maybe a couple for me to share with my friends here in this island... oh, and a dog-friendly one for our friend Ein.

I hope this wish is acceptable enough... and does not cause unsightly tooth decay.

Oh my... its been a while since I have updated this thing. Thats not like me at all! Well... a lot of things have been going on that hasnt been like me at the very least; For example: This past month. I've been almost in an exhausted sleep-like daze. I didnt even realize I had moved into a new place with a... girl.

...N-Not that there's anything wrong with Cissnei! Oh no no! I remember her being quite helpful during the 'heartless' attack. Its just strange to be living with someone who at least picks up after herself. Even still... I do miss the Captain.

So I was outside working in the yard and garden when this unbearable heat hit... I noticed I was getting hotter and hotter, and I was meaning to go inside, but I'm afraid I got heat stroke and passed out on the front porch.

Now I'm awake and all I can think is, "EDWARD YOU DOLT YOU FORGOT TO PUT ON SUNSCREEN!"

My entire body is beet red and it hurts to move. I tried taking an ice cold shower, but the water was hitting me so hard all I could do was yell. It was not enjoyable in the slightest!

...Captain, would you please get some Aloe Vera from the store? I'm marooned in my bed until I feel like I can move again.

Well, the Masquerade was rather nice. It was enjoyable to see everyone having fun and dancing. I have to say this is the first time I had gone to an event like that, and nothing catastrophic happened! Though I was a little worried when Captain was trying to find me a girl.... I dare say things are starting to look up for me!

...Ah... I did realize someone put a ring on my finger. It looks like one from a cracker jack box... and I'm trying to take it off, since those tend to leave an unseemly greenish ring of rust on my finger, but I think its super glued on. I suppose I have a project in the afternoon to try to slide it off...

My, a Masquerade? What a positively fantastic way to gather people in a festive and decorative way!

Though I am not one for parties, and hardly one to be bold enough for a ball, but it sounds far too enriching to miss out on it!

A carnival! My, what a great opportunity for people in the island to play games, have fun, and become well acquainted with our fellow island dwellers! I think I will go to take a look... not really to go on any of the rides or play, but to see how the games are set up and see how the rides are built! Ed and Eddy would have really enjoyed this... seeing something so bright and colorful on the island, I can't help but feel a bit nostalgic.

I have no idea where Kyon has gone... but... now I have a new roommate...

and... I'm afraid that... A swaggering older gentleman dressed as a pirate is supposed to live here with me... and from the smell of him, I suspect he has been drinking or has been "at sea" for quite a while now. Though.... it's probably wrong of me to suspect the worse.... I just hope he keeps things clean. Even still I will approach him with the brightest of smiles. Perhaps there is something to be learned from him. Afterall, his demeanor shows that he has quite a bit of characters, and I always do seem to surround myself with characters.

Perhaps I should set out to get some groceries and make a nice, balanced, well rounded dinner... if he is indeed an adventurer, I'm sure its been a while since he has had a home cooked meal.

In other news, I have retrieved several helpful books that can help me better understand this island! I may be back in the bookstore soon, Joe! A job sounds like a good way to pass the time... and an honest way of making money!

This past event, well, was startling to say the least. Needless to say I spent most of it hiding out in my home and running away from the little shadow creature that found its way inside. Thank you, Miss Cissnei, for... helping me at my time of need... I dont think I could've handled it without you.

I am worried about Kyon though, I havent seen him in a while. Has anyone seen him?

Its strange that I find myself slightly saddened that these creatures disappeared... having had been saved from one, I couldnt help but feel interested in what these creatures are and why they were making so many people sad.

It seems theres still so much to learn about this island...

OH MY! Is this... normal for this kind of place? I finally reached my house and I'M NAKED! I lost my hat too, somehow, and, well... after hyperventilating and running around looking for a substitute, I grabbed an abundance of palm leaves and ran inside... closing the curtain to what I believe was our bathroom and weaved a hat....

Then there was the matter of clothes. Unforuntately, I've had too much experience with a nude mishap with me and my group of companions... it didnt take long for me to accommodate with... well... the bathroom curtain. I apologize, Kyon... I'll replace it as soon as I can, I promise!

But after that was all done, and I was ready to clean myself off, I came to realize something else-- THERE'S NO SOAP!!! Am I expected to live in my filth?? Oh dear...

Though, I have to stop complaining.... even though I feel very unclean right now. I'll just... have to make the best of this situation. I think I will investigate this L337 Pod a bit more. Maybe I can find the answers to some of my questions...
